Al Dabb’iya Surface Facilities – Phase III
The Al Dabb’iya Surface Facilities – Phase III project forms part of ADNOC Onshore’s ongoing development programme to expand and upgrade surface infrastructure supporting upstream oil production. The works were delivered as part of a phased development strategy, requiring integration with existing operational facilities and previously completed project phases.
Phase III involved the construction and installation of additional surface facilities to support production capacity, utilities, and field operations. The project was executed within an active oilfield environment, with strict requirements for safety, quality, and coordination with ongoing operations.
ACC was appointed as a General Construction Subcontractor, delivering construction works in support of the main EPC contractor and ADNOC Onshore.
ACC Scope of Works
As General Construction Subcontractor, ACC’s scope included construction activities associated with the Phase III surface facilities, comprising:
- Civil works
- Structural steel works
- Piping fabrication and erection
- Equipment installation
- Electrical and instrumentation works
- Associated interconnecting and interface works
Project Delivery
Works were executed within a live onshore oilfield environment, requiring strict adherence to ADNOC Onshore HSE standards and permit-to-work systems. ACC coordinated multiple construction disciplines and work fronts to ensure activities were delivered in line with the overall EPC programme.
Construction sequencing was planned to manage interfaces with existing facilities and adjacent contractors, ensuring continuity of operations and minimising disruption to ongoing field activities. ACC maintained close coordination with the EPC contractor and client representatives to manage access, handovers, and interface boundaries across the site.
Quality control and construction readiness were prioritised to ensure all installed systems and structures met project specifications and were prepared for testing, commissioning, and handover.
Project Outcome
ACC completed its construction scope in support of the Al Dabb’iya Surface Facilities Phase III development, contributing to the delivery of additional surface infrastructure for ADNOC Onshore operations.
This project demonstrates ACC’s experience delivering general construction packages on live onshore oilfield developments, working within phased programmes and strict operational and safety frameworks.
