EPC Delivery of a 200MW Utility-Scale Photovoltaic Power Plant

Baynouna Solar Energy Project, Amman, Jordan

ACC, in joint venture with Enviromena Power Systems LLC, was awarded the Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract for the Baynouna Solar Energy Project, located approximately 40 km northeast of Amman. At 200MW, the plant is the largest single-source solar photovoltaic power installation completed in Jordan and forms a major component of the country’s renewable energy programme.

The facility generates approximately 563.3 GWh of electricity annually, providing the equivalent power supply needs of around 160,000 homes and reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 360,000 tonnes per year. The site encompasses arrays of photovoltaic modules, inverter stations, high-voltage interconnection infrastructure, and grid integration systems

ACC delivered full EPC scope including detailed engineering coordination, procurement of modules and electrical systems, civil and structural works, mechanical and electrical installation, high-voltage cabling, substation works, commissioning, and ongoing O&M responsibilities. Delivery required precise supply chain management, efficient assembly sequencing, and grid compliance testing to ensure stable integration into the national transmission network.

The Baynouna Solar Energy Project demonstrates ACC’s capability in large-scale renewable energy delivery and contributes to Jordan’s long-term transition toward cleaner, utility-scale power generation.
