The purpose of the Beaat 2 facility is to safely retrieve, manage, treat and dispose of hazardous waste at the Ruwais Refinery in Abu Dhabi Emirate, and ensure that human health and the environment are adequately protected.

ACC’s scope of work for this project included site preparation, design, construction and supply of civil, structural and architectural works.

It also involved supply, installation and testing of piping systems, assembly and installation of mechanical equipment, supply and installation of tank works & equipment and piping insulation.

Masdar Institute 1 B, Abu Dhabi

Designed by Foster & Partners, the campus includes three residential buildings with 222 1-bedroom apartments: four additional lab buildings and an iconic multi-level, multi-use sports hall/auditorium with a pool and gym facilities.

The MASDAR development is the physical component of the MASDAR initiative, spreading over approximately 6 square kilometres of land that was granted by the Government of Abu Dhabi.

The Masdar Institute 1B project involved the construction of the campus to house the Institute’s graduate program. The program is run in conjunction with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in the US and hopes to be the cornerstone forum for research, business and creativity in renewable technology.

The Masdar Institute received worldwide recognition for the project’s unique design and sustainability achievements which are the result of solar studies, wind tunnel testing, and energy simulation. The campus and its associated buildings are designed to reduce energy by optimising building form and orientation and carefully configuring streets and urban spaces.

Princess Tower, Dubai

ACC’s skyscraper building pedigree is best exemplified by the elegant Princess Tower. The 414 metre Princess Tower at Dubai Marina was the tallest residential building in the world for the better part of a decade and still ranks in the top 10 globally.

Comprising 101 floors storeys with a built-up area of 171,000 m², it contains over 700 luxury residential apartment and penthouses.

Al Mirfa Desalination Plant, Abu Dhabi

The 23 MIGD Mirfa desalination plant serves the southern areas of the Abu Dhabi region.

It is comprised of three MSF distillers, each with a capacity of 7.5MIGD. The steam is provided by two boilers. ACC’s scope of works of the project also included a 650 m cable tunnel, a 2.5 km long x 2.8 m diameter discharge pipe, 65 m diameter steel tanks, a seawater intake structure and an outfall structure.

Emirates Airlines HQ, Dubai

The Emirates Headquarters is a unique facility. A complex dual-purpose facility, it is both the active operations centre and the corporate head office for the world’s most renowned airline operator, Emirates Airlines

It has three lower floors – a basement, ground and first floor which are used as crew terminal dispatch centres and house complete arrival and departure facilities. Equipped with 40 briefing rooms, duty-free shopping control rooms, luggage handling and its own customs and immigration facilities, it links up with the Dubai Airport through an underground tunnel below the busy approach road.

The remaining 9 floors above are occupied by the Emirates Staff Headquarters, planned around a grand atrium capped with a skylight. The top floor is dedicated to the Emirates management overlooking the airport and all aircraft movement. The floors below are offices with high-end facilities essential to modern workplaces. The rooftop provides a health and leisure facility for the management staff in the form of a jogging track, swimming pool and health club.

Abu Dhabi Trade Centre

The Abu Dhabi Trade Centre is a landmark mixed-use facility and is cemented as one of the most prominent buildings in Abu Dhabi.

The development comprises separate towers for an office, hotel and serviced apartment block and a multi-storey carpark building.

Completed to a high specification and finish, the towers are all integrated to ensure they meet the stringent requirements of being branded a Trade Centre.

Fujairah F2 Independent Water and Power Plant

The Fujairah F2 Plant is a Greenfield power generation and seawater desalination plant with 2,000 MW of net power capacity and 130 MIGD of net water capacity.

It is located at Al-Qidfa in the Emirate of Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman.

The project is comprised of 5 gas turbines and 3 steam turbines (2000 MW) with all the necessary facilities (transformers, boilers, gas compressor, control building, stores, fuel unloading station, steel structures etc), 4 fuel tanks, outfall water intake, shore protection of 1km with all the marine works and soil filling.

Etisalat Abu Dhabi

The headquarters of Etisalat, the United Arab Emirates Telecommunications Company, is situated on a major corner site linking Abu Dhabi downtown and the international airport. A symbol of Etisalat, the different antennas are in a sphere at the top of the building. An adjacent structure incorporates the car parking and at the top a telecommunication museum and multipurpose hall.

A cylindrical shape with a quarter circle base clad in green glass houses the open offices while a triangular base clad in pink granite hides the services and vertical circulation, a major multi-storey hall at street level provides the clients reception area.

Ibn Battuta Gate, Dubai

Ibn Battuta Gate is a landmark mixed-use development, located adjacent to the world’s largest themed mall, Ibn Batutta Mall, which documents the travels of 14th century Arabian explorer Ibn Batutta.

The development includes two distinct blocks which are linked via an iconic gate. The first block includes a 5-star luxury hotel and serviced apartments, and the second block contains modern office space related amenities.

This large development covers a footprint of 20,00 m² and is ten floors in height to maintain the full visibility of this truly unique mixed-use development.
