Fountain Views Project Achieves 60m Safe-man Hours Without LTI

26th September was the date marking an important moment that the Fountain Views project, Dubai, celebrating the achievement of a landmark milestone in reaching 60 million safe man-hours.
This is an excellent achievement and recognition of ACC’s efforts in making a significant contribution to health and safety standards and successfully bringing its employees back home every day without harm.
 
To celebrate this remarkable achievement ACC executive directors, Client Directors, PMC top managements, Consultant Managements as well as Top managements/Stakeholders of ACC neighbouring projects, project supervisors and workers attended the celebration.
 
The key to ACC’s success has been the embrace of safety and sustainability as well as innovative solutions as a core culture of ACC to achieve the most cost-efficient and effective outcomes.
Our next step is to look to the future and formulate our sustainability strategy for next decade and beyond. We would like to thank our client and partners for all the support and efforts that they have invested into the making of this project. Here’s to further construction achievements!

ACC Celebrates World Safety and Health at Work

The speeches in Jizan projects were delivered to the workforce about the significance of effort towards safety on site by Project Director Mr. Reda Al Bakr, Project Manager Mr. Ali Diya and ACC HSE Manager Mr. Jude B. Joseph, followed by Award Distribution Ceremony where 57 employees collectively were awarded with Safety Award Certificate for their outstanding work. Furthermore, Mass Tool Boxes were conducted by Mr. Javed, Safety Inspector, and Mr. Nawab Khan, Safety In-Charge, in regards to Heat Stress at workplace, as well as by Mr. Tousif Khan, HSEO, and Mr. Anil kumar, HSEO, in regards to Workplace Hazard at site.
Mashreq Bank Project also celebrated with a Safety Award Ceremony, honouring 50 persons, including sub-contractors. Mr. Median Soued, Senior Construction Manager, Mr. Lino Yohannan, WSP Group HSE Manager, and ACC HSE Manager Mr. Michael Sutton were among the attendees of the ceremony. Mr. Sutton carried a discussion with the employees regarding the importance of safety in the workplace and how Senior Management is fully behind the “Safety First” initiative. Following the Award Ceremony, WSP presented ACC Mashreq Bank Project with a Safety Award Certificate. Awards coordinator was Senior HSE Officer Mr. Kiran Kumar. 

ACC Celebrates Mother’s Day

The specially handcrafted pouches were distributed in the Beirut headquarters by Mr. Ahmad Sidani, HR Manager, as well as across company’s construction sites and affiliate offices by Mr. Walid Merehbi, HR Officer.

This year’s the slogan was “Always a sunshine”, since a mother will always remain the main source of light and warmth for the children. At ACC, we greatly value the role of women in the construction industry and we are glad to put smiles on their faces given this special occasion.

The organization engages in Health, Health Awareness, Social, Women Empowerment, Educational, and Fundraising activities. ACC Achieves New Safety Records at 3 Prominent Dubai Development Projects

Certificates were distributed to selected site engineers and workforce team members for their outstanding commitment to adhering to the strictest health, safety and environmental policies.

Mr. Mohamad Bidad, ACC Group HSE Manager commented “We are proud and delighted to have achieved new milestones that reiterate our ongoing commitment to applying rigorous health, safety and environmental standards across our projects. This would not have been possible without the discipline and individual effort of each and every team member. We do our best to protect both our own workforce and the general public through our HSE expertise and preventive measures.”

ACC previously won the British Safety Council Merit Awards for two consecutive years at major Dubai projects and looks forward to further maintaining the highest levels of health and safety in the workplace.

ACC Sponsors an Inter-university Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition 2018

The event was held at the Notre-Dame University, Louaize Campus, which gathered students from 11 universities from all around Lebanon. In line with the competition rules, each team has engineered a bridge using only popsicles and white glue, which was then carefully examined by the judges.

It was a pleasure taking a part in this event and sponsoring the future of engineering and architecture, and we hope to be further inspiring and supporting the ambitious youth!

ACC Plants 3 Trees for UAE

The event was meant to collect as many aluminum beverage cans as possible, by individuals as well as corporate level. The company staff, from both offices and project sites, have collectively gathered 318 kgs of cans. That didn’t just allow ACC to be eligible for “One Root, One Communi-Tree Project”, but allowed it to proudly plant 3 trees! The “For Our Emirates We Plant Ceremony” held place in Dibba Al Hisn, Fujeirah, and attended by Mr. Mohamad Bidad, Group HSE Manager, Mr. Tarek Merehbi, Head of IT Operational Services, as well as Mr. Mustafa Basir, Senior HR Officer.
